New York, NY (AHN) - Marian Gaborik scored the game's lone goal, while Henrik Lundqvist collected 29 saves in net to lift the New York Rangers to a 1-0 shutout of the Boston Bruins Sunday afternoon.

Gaborik was a game-time decision to play due to a recent knee injury, and the Rangers were certainly glad he competed.

His goal was the 11th of the season and came with 4:09 left in the second period.

It stood up thanks in part to Lundqvist, who was particularly sharp in the third period with 14 stops.

The Bruins had their chances, but went scoreless in five power play chances.

The Rangers were 0-for-2 with the extra man.

Tim Thomas nearly equalled Lundqvist, stopping 22-of-23 shots.

The Rangers snapped a two-game losing skid in improving to 9-5-1.

The Bruins evened up at 6-6-1.
