Pensacola, FL (AHN) - Former NBA referee Tim Donaghy, who served a 15-month sentence on federal wire fraud charges, will reportedly be released from federal prison Wednesday.

According to Executive Prison Consultants, hired to ease his post-prison transition, Donaghy hopes to work in sales or marketing in his return to society, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

After being transferred to a halfway house in June, Donaghy was sent back to the Pensacola facility in August for making an unauthorized trip allegedly for the treatment of his injured knee.

Last year, Donaghy, 42, was sentenced for accepting money from a professional gambler in exchange for inside information on NBA games.

The Inquirer reported that Donaghy plans to live in the Saratoga area.  He will also continue treatment for gambling addiction.
