World Golf Hall Of Fame Inducts Wadkins, Olazabal

St. Augustine, FL (AHN) - Jose Maria Olazabal, Christy O'Connor and Lanny Wadkins were inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame Monday night. President Dwight Eisenhower was posthumously inducted.

Olazabal won the Masters in 1994 and 1999 and was 18-8-2 in Ryder Cup competition. He started playing the game at two years old.
O'Connor won 24 times on the European Tour, but was unable to attend due to poor health.
Wadkins captured the 1977 PGA Championship and 1979 Players Championship.
He won 21 PGA tournaments and went 20-11-3 in Ryder Cup matches.
President Eisenhower was honored as well.
He helped grow the game during his time in office between 1952 and 1960.
President Eisenhower is a member of the famed Augusta National Golf Club.
