Oxygen Media Set To Make Season Two Of "Dance Your Ass Off"

New York, NY (CNS) - Oxygen Media have announced that another season of the weight loss/dance competition show "Dance Your Ass Off" will start in 2010. The show was the most watched new series in the network's history and for the second season Magical Elves Production Company have been pulled in to help. "Dance Your Ass Off" returns for a second season with Magical Elves, the production company who are behind the successful "Top Chef" show on Bravo, acting as executive producers. The show is the first of its kind, combining dancing with the challenge of weight loss.

The contestants get teamed up with professional dance partners who will help them train for their weekly performance in front of a live studio audience, which is then scored by a panel of judges. Their dance score and their weekly weight loss are combined to create an overall score which then determines who goes home each week.

Amy Introcaso-Davis, Senior Vice President, Original Programming and Development for Oxygen Media says this about the new season; "We're looking forward to working with Magical Elves on 'Dance Your Ass Off,' and with them we hope to inspire the entire country to eat healthy and get off the couch and dance!"

The show was the idea of Lisa Ann Walter, who is now the executive producer along with Kate Rigg.
