Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - In an exclusive first interview, Rihanna is finally speaking up about her assault incident with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. The "Umbrella" hitmaker sits down with Diane Sawyer to reveal her ordeal.

The 21-year-old singer and her 20-year-old ex-beau made headlines earlier this year. The public was given a glimpse to the ugly incident that happened on a night in February, when Brown assaulted Rihanna after a lovers' quarrel.

Brown pled guilty to felony assault and received five years of probation and was sentenced to community labor. He has since apologized for the incident.

Rihanna, who has decided to remain mum on the whole issue since day one, will be speaking up about the incident in an exclusive interview with Sawyer on the Thursday, November 5, and Friday, November 6, episodes of ABC's "Good Morning America."

She will also talk about growing up in Barbados, her family life, and her life over the last nine months since the incident.
