Cleveland, OH (AHN) - Cleveland Brown fans are outraged at the collapse of their franchise, and have called for general manager George Kokinis' head. Owner Randy Lerner has complied, sending Kokinis packing Monday afternoon.

The Browns did not comment on the departure until 10:30 that night, despite eyewitnesses reportedly seeing him leaving with two travel bags.

The organization confirmed in a statement that Kokinis is no longer employed with the Cleveland Browns, and that no further comments would be made regarding Kokinis.

It was rumored that Kokinis was escorted out of the facility, possibly after a hostile departure from the team, though Cleveland denied the rumor of escorts.

Kokinis was a pick of Mangini's back in December of last year, and with the former Jets head coach at the helm, expectations were high this year - at least higher than their 4-12 season last year.

What the Browns got instead was a total disaster and meltdown.

Cleveland has faded to 1-7, with the worst passing game in the league, the second worst overall production on offense in the league - and a shockingly bad 9.8 points per game average.

There has been no word yet on who will be filling the shoes of Kokinis.
