Gold Hits New Record Of $1,087

New York, NY (AHN) - Gold futures topped a record high Tuesday.

Gold for November delivery hit $1,087 an ounce on the New York Mercantile Exchange before falling back to settle at $1,085.10, a gain of $31.70.

November silver rose $45.40 to end at $1,688.50 an ounce on the Comex.

December palladium added $1.65 to $328 an ounce, while January platinum rose $24.50 to $1,362.60.
