Voters made their voices known in their local districts Tuesday.  Some of the key elections stand to reflect the impact, if any, President Obama's term has affected the American people, thus far.

Some of the key results/projections are:

Massachusetts

*Democratic Mayor Tom Menino projected to win fifth term and make history as the first mayor to do so in Boston's history.

New Jersey

*Republican Chris Christie projected to win over Democrat Jon Corzinein gubernatorial race.

New York

*Independent candidate Michael Bloomberg projected to win mayoral race in New York City, defeating Democrat Bill Thompson.

Virginia

*Republican Bob McDonnell takes Virginia's governor slot and is the first Republican to do so in 12 years.
