Ann Arbor, MI (CNS) - Actor, singer, songwriter and Michigan native Jeff Daniels is bringing back the music. Daniels will once again host and perform a special concert in November to help celebrate Michigan music and the homegrown musicians.

Ann Arbor's historic Michigan Theater will host the Fourth Annual "Jeff Daniels & Friend" on Saturday, November 28. The lineup will feature folk, blues, and jazz musicians, along with some spoken word and world roots music. Artists will include Lansing's Shout Sister, Shout, Kalamazoo's Red Sea Pedestrian, Ann Arbor's Paul Princen, Chelsea's The Ben Daniel's Band and the Scottville Clown Band.

Daniels recently finished an eight-month run of Broadway's Tony Award-winning play, "God of Carnage." He explained that the event was modeled after a concert held by folk legend Arlo Guthrie, saying, "Arlo and friends get together every year around Thanksgiving and take over Carnegie Hall in a huge celebration of folk music. I wanted to do something similar to celebrate some of the great artists we have in Michigan."

Daniels went on to say that the first three years of the event sold out quickly, making it an easy decision to bring it back. "We had nearly two thousand people on their feet singing and dancing in the aisles at last year's show and the shows before that. We've started something big and now have our own fun, festive, unusual, high energy holiday tradition."

Tickets for the event can be purchased at the Michigan Union Ticket Office or online at Ticketmaster.com. Prices for tickets range from $22.50 up to $75.
