Minneapolis, MN (AHN) - Freshman power forward for Minnesota Royce White faces misdemeanor charges for alleged shoplifting and assaulting a security guard at the Mall of America.

Coach Tubby Smith announced Tuesday that White would be suspended indefinitely, after allegedly shoving a security officer several times and walking out of the store, with $100 dollars worth of stolen clothing.

The altercation began when Royce reportedly tried to smuggle a pair of pants and a shirt under his sweat pants.

The security guard approached him, but was allegedly shoved numerous times before Royce left the Macy's.

The length of his punishment is, as of yet, undetermined, though coach Tubby Smith indicated it could be between twoand 20 games, depending on how he feels when all the information comes out.

White was one of the most highly anticipated prospects of last year, and led the class of 2009 top 40 according to one publication.
