Baltimore, MD (AHN) - Three Baltimore Orioles will be flapping away from the team's nest after being demoted to their AAA franchise in Norfolk Tuesday.

Outfielder Jeff Fiorentino pitcher Rich Hill, and catcher Guillermo Rodriguez have flown the coop, after being removed from the 40 man roster earlier this week.

Hill began in solid form in 2007 with the Chicago Cubs, with 11 wins over 8 losses.

He pitched with an ERA of 3.92. He saw limited action in 2008, pitching 19 innings before being shipped back to AAA.

He was traded to the Orioles for the 2009 season, and though elevated, he could not produce for them. Over 13 starts, he had an ERA of 7.80, with 40 walks.

Fiorentino had a solid hitting performance in 2009, playing in 24 games and averaging .281.

He came in after Adam Jones and Felix Pie went down with injuries. Their return meant his services at the MLB level were no longer needed.

Rodriguez will not be needed, as he was brought on to back-up Matt Wieters.

The Orioles will reportedly be looking for someone with more experience in the offseason.
