South Carolina Man Pleads Guilty To Having Sex With Horse

Longs, SC (AHN) - A man caught having sex with a horse twice pleaded guilty to charges of buggery on Wednesday and received a five-year suspended sentence.

Rodell Vereen, 50, of Longs, South Carolina will spend three years in jail and two years probation after being charged on July 30 with sodomy, trespassing and probation violation.

Barbara Kenley, the owner of Lazy B Stables, caught Vereen with her horse Sugar through surveillance cameras in July and held her at gunpoint until police arrived. It was the second Kenley caught Vereen having sex with a horse at the stable.

Vereen had apologized to the horse owner and his family. He said he failed to take his medication for schizophrenia, so the incident happened.
