Ottawa (AHN) - Jason Spezza got his first goal of the season in overtime as the Ottawa Senators were victorious against the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-2 Thursday.

After being out the last two games with back pain, Spezza came back with a 'point' to prove which he literally made with assists on goals by Daniel Alfredsson and Mike Fisher.

Ottawa (7-4-2) lost to Tampa Bay 5-2 just one week ago.

Alex Tanguay and Steven Stamkos scored for the Lightning (5-4-5).

Stamkos has 12 goals on the season, to place him among the league-leaders.

Rookie Tampa defenseman Victor Hedman left the game in the second after being leveled.

Ottawa's Chris Neil did the leveling as he pounded Hedman along the boards behind Tampa's net.

With the score tied at two apiece, Ottawa's Chris Kelly scored with 26.8 seconds left but was called on a high-stick penalty.

The goal did not count.

Tampa Bay will face yet another Canadien team on Saturday as they head out to Montreal to face the Habs.

Ottawa will face the New Jersey Devils on Saturday night.
