Orlando, FL (AHN) - Orlando police have apprehended the gunman from shooting in a downtown Orlando office building. According to officials Jason Rodriguez entered the building he was let go from two years ago killing one person and injuring five others.

A police spokesperson said law enforcement surrounded a home his mother resided and saw the suspect inside. They asked for him to come out and he surrendered without further incident.

Rodriguez's former employer an engineering company said he was let go for performance issues. Reports are also saying Rodriguez recently filed for bankruptcy.

According to witnesses people were seen fleeing the 16-story building during and after the attack. Occupants from the building told local reporters that they were forced to barricade themselves inside their offices during the shooting.
