Hornaday Owns 202-Point Lead In Truck Series Race

Fort Worth, Texas (AHN) - Three-time NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion Ron Hornaday Jr. saw his points lead trimmed from 224 to 202 last weekend at Talladega and takes a 202-point lead into tonight's race at Texas Motor Speedway.

Hornaday, eyeing a fourth Truck Series title, will have to maintain his 202-point lead over Matt Crafton tonight and over the final three races of the season if he's to capture another title.

The California natives stand atop the points standings as Hornaday has 3,487 points and is trailed by Crafton (3,285), Mike Skinner (3,160), Todd Bodine (2,985), Colin Braun (2,934), Brian Scott (2,904), Timothy Peters (2,903), Johnny Sauter (2,883), David Starr (2,849) and Rick Crawford (2,794).

Stacy Compton (2,793), Terry Cook (2,744), Tayler Malsam (2,687), James Buescher (2,569), Dennis Setzer (2,483), Jason White (2,424), T.J. Bell (2,415), Kyle Busch (2,084), Chad McCumbee (2,054) and Aric Almirola (1,879) round out the top-20.

In positions 21st through 29th are: Norm Benning (1,857), Ricky Carmichael (1,636), Brian Ickler (1,340), Brandon Knupp (1,275), J.R. Fitzpatrick (1,137), Mario Gosselin (1,121), Wayne Edwards (1,067), Johnny Benson Jr. (1,047) and Chris Fontaine (1,045).

In positions 30th through 39th are: Max Papis (958), Nick Tucker (937), Brent Raymer (878), Ryan Sieg (850), Chris Jones (825), Butch Miller (819), Shane Sieg (811), Kevin Harvick (695), Mikey Kile (569) and Mike Bliss (515).
