AHN Upset Alert: No. 4 Iowa Falls To Northwestern

Iowa City, IA (AHN) - Nwest Marshall Thomas recovered a fumble in the end zone and Dan Persa connected on a four-yard touchdown strike to Drake Dunsmore as Northwestern toppled No. 4 Iowa 17-10 Saturday.

Stefan Demos tacked on a 47 yard field goal early in the fourth quarter for Northwestern (6-4).

Ricky Stanzi hit Marvin McNutt for a 74 yard TD connection and Daniel Murray drilled a 39 yard field goal as Iowa (9-1) took a 10-0 first quarter lead.

Stanzi was also knocked out of the contest due to a high ankle sprain, and Iowa's offense struggled from there.
