Pitt Pushes Past Syracuse With Unanswered Scoring Run

Pittsburgh, PA (AHN) - Freshman sensation Dion Lewis ran for 110 yards and a touchdown as Pittsburgh ran past Syracuse 37-10 Saturday afternoon.

The Panthers scored 34 unanswered points after a 3-3 score in the first quarter.

Pitt's Greg Williams intercepted former Duke basketball star Greg Paulus and returned it 51-yards for a touchdown.

Jabaal Sheard tipped the Paulus pass and Williams scored his third career touchdown.

Bill Stull completed 16-of-23 passes for 225 yards for Pittsburgh.

Dorin Dickerson caught a 14-yard touchdown pass.

Delone Carter carried the ball times for 143 yards for the Orangemen.

Syracuse was without wide receiver Mike Williams. He was averaging 106.6 receiving yards a game and quit the team Monday.

Pittsburgh won its fifth straight.
