Balanced Scoring Sends Preds Past Kings

Los Angeles, CA (AHN) - Dan Ellis halted 27 shots as the Nashville Predators stopped the Los Angeles Kings 3-1 Saturday afternoon.

Three different players scored for Nashville.

Francis Boullion, Cody Franson and Joel Ward all shot inside the pipes to propel Nashville to victory.

The Predators started the scoring on a power-play goal in the second period. Boullion got a rebound and used a wrister to beat Jon Quick.

Franson sent a slap shot home for the game's second goal.

Ward scored the game's final goal on a third period wrist shot off an assist from David Legwand.

Dustin Brown scored a third period power-play goal for the Kings' lone score of the game.
