The Clippers won their third straight, matching their longest win streak from all of last season.
Chris Kaman contributed 26 points and nine boards.
Their lone three-game winning streak last year was against Portland, Houston, and Oklahoma City.
But then they lost the next 15 of 17 and finished with just 19 victories for the season.
Allen Iverson, who has only played three games this season since injuring his hamstring in the offseason, was given permission to officially leave the Grizzlies to attend to a personal matter.
The only news coming out for the 1-6 Grizzlies was Iverson's freported displeasure with coming off of the bench as a back-up point gaurd for the team.
He was said to understand his role prior to the season, however.
Rudy Gay scored 33 for Memphis and Iverson's replacement, Marcus Williams scored seven points and had six assists.
Starting Memphis point guard Mike Conley scored 16 points in 31 minutes of play.
After three quarters, the game was tied at 82. In the second half of the fourth quarter, the Clippers only made one field goal with 3:13 left, a three-pointer by Rasual Butler.
But they kept their lead by making 11 of 16 free throws down the stretch.
Los Angeles is home for the next three games as it tries to extend its win streak to four.
Memphis faces two playoff teams from last year in Portland and Houston in its next two games.
