Massana, Andorra (AHN) - A bridge under construction in the tiny principality of Andorra collapsed Saturday afternoon killing at least five workers and injuring six others, according to reports.

Andorra is in the Pyrenees Mountains on the France-Spain border. The road bridge collapsed near the Dos Valeris tunnel in the Massana valley in the northwest corner of the tiny principality.

Rescue workers said about 60 workers were on site when the accident happened. Although the cause is still unknown, the accident happened shortly after workers poured reinforced concrete at the site. The injured were swept away in a mass of concrete and tangled steel scaffolding when a 65 foot section of the bridge collapsed.

Most of the injured were believed to be Portugese.
