Basel, Switzerland (AHN) - So much for home cooking.

Top-ranked Roger Federer lost in the final of his hometown tournament Sunday, falling 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 to Novak Djokovic in the Swiss Indoors final.

Djokovic is 3-2 against Federer this year, and captured his fourth championship of the season.

He ground out this win, saving five game points in the first set clincher.

Djokovic was certainly sharper Sunday, bouncing back from losing the middle set to take a 4-0 lead in the final.

The Serb has won a tour-best 71 matches on the year, compared to 59 for Federer.
