Stand-up comic Dane Cook's stage performance "ISolated INcident" will be released on DVD by Comedy Central Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment on November 17. The special showcases Cook's show at Hollywood's renowned Sunset Strip comedy spot The Laugh Factory. The venue, housing 400 people, is a change from Cook's usual shows at larger locations - Cook sold out New York's Madison Square Garden with his "Rough Around the Edges" tour, which was filmed and recorded as a DVD and live album.
"Dane Cook: ISolated INcident," also recorded for Cook's fifth album of the same name, features the comedian riffing about topics such as President Barack Obama, babies and more, with his usual blend of irreverence and edginess. The DVD of the special, which aired on Comedy Central in May, includes special features like "ISolated INterview," an exclusive interview with Cook, and "30 Premeditated Acts," a segment with Cook explaining the origins of many of his jokes.
Following the success of 2007's "Rough Around the Edges: Live from Madison Square Garden," "ISolated INcident" is a return to a locale that helped boost Cook's popularity. In 2007, he broke Richard Pryor's endurance record at The Laugh Factory by telling jokes for three hours and fifty minutes. In early 2008, he then took back the record from fellow comic Dave Chappelle, who had broken the record only days after Cook set it, with a 7-hour set.
Since expanding his stand-up career - most recently performing at Madison Square Garden as part of the New York Comedy Festival - Cook has also been a recurring presence in films. In the last several years, he has starred in movies like "Employee of the Month," "Good Luck Chuck," "Mr. Brooks," "My Best Friend's Girl" and "Dan in Real Life."
"Dane Cook: ISolated INcident" retails for $16.99.
