Perth, Australia (CNS) - Britney Spears may have used her usual miming technique during her Perth, Australia concert Friday, but fans did not walk out from the show. The pop princess is said to be "extremely upset" over rumors that people were unsatisfied in her performance.
The 27-year-old star is in the country for her "The Circus Starring: Britney Spears" tour. She staged her first date last Friday at Perth's Burswood Dome.
But just after the two-hour show, reports were rampant that some fans couldn't take her lip-synching act that they walked out from the show as early as the third song.
Concert promoter Paul Dainty reveals that Spears was "extremely upset" by the false reports, telling The Australian newspaper that the rumors were the "biggest lie I've ever heard."
He added that they can take bad reviews, but reports saying people stormed out of the show was an "absolute fabrication."
The venue's management said they received no complaints from the 17,000 concertgoers on Friday night, even announcing that from their perspective, the event was a huge success.
Last week, Australia's Fair Trading Minister Virginia Judge said Spears should warn her fans if she intends to lip-synch in her concert.
Spears also performed on the same venue on November 7, Saturday, and will continue the show on November 11 in Melbourne.
