Taylor Swift Announced As Opening Act For The CMA Awards

Nashville, TN (CNS) - Taylor Swift has been announced to perform at the 43rd Annual CMA Awards. The four-time nominee has been tapped to be the opening act for Country Music's Biggest Night on November 11.
Swift, who hosted "Saturday Night Live" last weekend, joins other previously announced performers, including Jason Aldean, Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney and Dave Matthews, Reb McEntire, Martina McBride, Tim McGraw, and Keith Urban among many others.
CMA CEO Tammy Genovese said, "Taylor is the perfect choice as the opening act for the 2008 CMA Awards. Her charisma, charm, popularity, and talent will set the stage for an evening you won't soon forget. We know her fans will want to stay tuned to see what she does next."
The 19-year-old "Fearless" singer is nominated for four awards this year. She is up for Entertainer, Female, and Album of the Year, and Music Video nod.
The 43rd Annual CMA Awards, hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, will air live on ABC from the Sommet Center in Nashville on November 11.
