Jonas Brother's Hit Show "Jonas" Picked Up For Second Season On Disney Channel

Topics: TelevisionLos Angeles,CA (CNS) - The Disney Channel has announced that there will be a second season of "Jonas," starring the multi-platinum and multi-award winning Jonas Brothers. The show will also star actresses Chelsea Staub and Nicole Anderson.

The production of the second season has been joined by two new producers Lester Lewis ("The Office," "The Larry Sanders Show") and Paul Hoen (director and co-producer of "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam," DGA Award-winning director of "Jump In!"). The second season is scheduled to begin production in Hollywood come February. The show will then premiere mid-2010 on Disney Channel.
As well as shooting for the second season of "Jonas," the brothers will also begin production on season two of their short-form reality series "Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream." The brothers will shoot during the European leg of their World Tour 2009, with the show then premiering early 2010, followed by the Disney Channel Original Movie "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" in summer.
"Jonas" is shown on Sundays at 8:30pm and ranks number 1 in programs amongst kids 6-11 and tweens 9-14. The series also won a Teen Choice Award in the TV Breakout Series category and is cable's number 1 program with a total of 3.4 million viewers.
