Carson, CA (AHN) - Gregg Berhalter and Landon Donovan tallied overtime goals, netting the L.A. Galaxy a place in the MLS Cup final with a 2-0 win vs. the Houston Dynamo Friday.

The Galaxy will take on the winner of Chicago-Real Salt Lake, who face off in their final match Saturday.

L.A., which won titles in 2002 and 2005, seeks its third title despite getting outshot 14-6 overall and facing a  6-3 deficit in shots on goal.

The Dynamo's Eddie Robinson was unable to clear David Beckham's free kick, which Berhalter than poked into the net for the Galaxy's first goal.

Donovan then scored on a penalty kick to give him a record 17 MLS playoff goals.

Donovan Ricketts did the job between the pipes for L.A., knocking aside six shots including one he helped deflect off a crossbar.
