Pittsburgh, PA (AHN) - Pittsburgh's All-Pro safety Troy Polamalu is unlikely to play Sunday in Kansas City after re-injuring his left knee in the Steelers' setback to the Bengals this past weekend.

In his weekly conference Tuesday, head coach Mike Tomlin reportedly indicated that the five-time Pro Bowl selection is listed "questionable at best" for the Chiefs encounter Sunday.

Polamalu, 28, missed two four games because of the MCL sprain sustained in the Steelers' season opener.

He left Sunday's 18-12 loss to Cincinnati after straining the posterior cruciate ligament of the same knee.

The absence of leader Polamalu, who picked up three interceptions in only five appearances, would impact the Steelers.

The defending Super Bowl champion Steelers are bidding to reach the postseason via the Wild Card route.

Though his return is uncertain, the Steelers (6-3) are hoping to get back Polamalu in time for their AFC North collision against the Baltimore Ravens on Nov. 29.

Meanwhile, the Steelers bolstered their kickoff coverage squads by signing Donovan Woods from the practice squad and released Arnold Harrison.
