Rap star Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson will serve as a guest host on the BET series "106 & Park" in order to promote his newly released fourth studio album "Before I Self Destruct." 50 Cent will be sitting alongside regular host Rocsi on the music countdown series for episodes airing at 6 p.m. ET/PT on November 19, November 23 and November 24.
As part of his hosting duties, the rapper will interview other artists and introduce videos for the show. Additionally, he will be performing two songs for the studio audience of "106 & Park."
But 50 Cent's upcoming BET appearances are not limited to one sound stage.
Following the November 19 episode of "106 & Park," BET will premiere the second segment in the music series "Food for Thought: Conversations with 50 Cent," airing at 8 p.m. on November 19. Filmed at Bobby Van's in New York, the titular musical personality will be interviewed by a panel consisting of New York radio personality Angie Martinez, sports commentator Stephen A. Smith and music journalist Harry Allen.
The uncensored, exclusive interview will have a range of topics. Besides discussing 50 Cent's new album, the expected talking points are the artist's financial status, his relationship with Vivica A. Fox, his CD battle with fellow artist Kanye West and what makes him the self-proclaimed "King of New York."
50 Cent's "Before I Self Destruct" was released in stores Monday. As part of his newest album, the artist reteams with fellow rap stars Dr. Dre and Eminem. Besides singles such "Baby by Me" and "Ok, You're Right," the album includes a semi-autobiographical film of the same name written, directed by and starring the artist.
