Candace Bushnell Unveils Pre-"SATC" Carrie Bradshaw In New Book

Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Carrie Bradshaw's pre-"Sex and the City" days has finally been revealed in a new book. Candace Bushnell, author of the hit novel-turned HBO TV series and film, has unveiled the cover of "The Carrie Diaries."

The new novel is a teen prequel to the successful franchise and will see the main heroine, Carrie, in her high school years.

It details Carrie's early relationships, including her first love, and how she began her writing career. It will also reference an incident between her and her mother, according to People magazine.

"The Carrie Diaries" will be published on April 27, 2010 by HarperCollins.

Meanwhile, the sequel to the "Sex and the City" film is set to hit theaters on May 28. Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon are all set to reprise their roles.
