Durban, South Africa (AHN) - Robbers threw a woman off a 200-foot bridge in Durban, South Africa but the victim survived the fall into the river below.

The incident happened at the N2 bridge early Saturday morning, after several men hijacked the car of student teacher Kavisha Seevnarain and forced her to withdraw money from her ATM card at gunpoint.

Seevnarain broke her ribs and fractured her pelvic from the fall but she managed to swam to the riverbank, where a passerby saw her and called for help.

Three suspects were arrested and police are hunting three others.
