Albuquerque, N.M. (AHN) - Embattled New Mexico football coach Mike Locksley is reportedly turning to former NFL coach Tony Dungy as a personal mentor.

The 39-year-old Locksley is set to meet Dungy, the former Indianapolis Colts coach and NBC studio analyst, to discuss the issues he faced this season, according to published reports.

Locksley, in his first season at New Mexico, is winless on the field.

He was also suspended following a physical confrontation with an assistant coach earlier this season.

On May, Locksley faced an age and sex discrimination complaint from his former administrative assistant Sylvia Lopez.

The complaint was later withdrawn.

Dungy is credited in the transition of former Atlanta Falcons star Michael Vick to football from prison.

Any costs on the said consultation will reportedly not be shouldered by UNM.

After serving as assistant coach for several college football teams, Locksley was named head coach last December by the Lobos, who inked him to a six-year contract.

New Mexico currently owns a miserable 0-10 record. The Lobos have games remaining against Colorado State and TCU.
