Andrew Lloyd Webber Re-Admitted To The Hospital Following Cancer Operation

Topics: EntertainmentLondon, England (CNS) - Composer Andrew Lloyd Webber has been taken back to the hospital after developing a post-operative infection. The cancer-stricken musical theater legend will be back at work in the New Year.

A statement was posted on his website, saying, "Andrew has been re-admitted to hospital tonight following his operation for prostate cancer. He has been advised that while the operation was entirely successful, he has developed a post-operative "chronic infection" which needs immediate treatment. He still hopes to back at work in the New Year."
Last month, it was announced that Lloyd Webber, 61, had been diagnosed with the disease. He has been working on the sequel to his megahit "Phantom of Opera" called "Love Never Dies."
He will also be launching a new BBC reality series next year to find the next Dorothy, the star of his new West End production "The Wizard of Oz." The nationwide search for the next musical stage star begins in January.
