Fort Smith, AR (AHN) - One Ozark dad is outraged at the treatment of his 10-year-old daughter by a local officer. Ozark police officer Dustin Bradshaw was called out to the home where the girl lived with her mother.

When Bradshaw arrived, he saw the girl throwing a tantrum; kicking and screaming and ignoring her mother's commands to behave. The frustrated mother gave Bradshaw permission to use a Taser on the girl if needed.

According to the report, Bradshaw approached the girl and tried to calm her down. That's when she kicked him in the groin. Bradshaw drew the weapon and used it on the girl. Once under control, the girl was handcuffed and taken to a youth shelter.

Ozark Police Chief Jim Noggle supported Bradshaw's actions. The girl's father, Anthony Medlock, however, is not so happy. Medlock criticized Bradshaw's method of dealing with the situation and questioned his competency as a cop.

There is no talk of investigation into the matter, or whether Medlock will press the issue with the department.
