Senator John Kerry's Filmmaker Daughter Arrested For DUI

Topics: EntertainmentLos Angeles, CA (CNS) - Filmmaker Alexandra Kerry, daughter of former Presidential nominee John Kerry, has been arrested and booked for a possible driving under the influence early Thursday morning. She was released after a breathalyzer test fell under the legal limit.

According to reports, the 36-year-old was stopped officers for violating a traffic law. They conducted a field sobriety test after it appeared she was under the influence of an intoxicant. She was arrested afterwards.
Although her blood alcohol test showed a level of .06, under the California legal limit of .08, she could still be prosecuted if the vehicle is being operated unsafely due to alcohol.
She was booked at the Hollywood police station and was released five hours later at 5:25 a.m. after she posted $5,000 bail.
Senator Kerry's office released a statement, saying he supports his daughter and will have no further comment.
