Will Ferrell Named Most Overpaid Star In Hollywood

Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Will Ferrell has been named Hollywood's Most Overpaid Star by Forbes. The funnyman, whose latest film "Land of the Lost" became one of the year's major flops, leads the list of actors who are not worth their salt in the industry.

According to Forbes, the film's dismal box office result helped the 42-year-old actor land the appalling title. "Land of the Lost" cost an estimated $100 million and earned only $65 million worldwide.

Ferrell's films earned an average of $3.29 for every dollar he was paid.

Box office performance, DVD and TV rights sales were all taken into account in creating the list. Animated films were not included because the actors were not the biggest draw in the films.

Coming in at second place is Ewan McGregor, whose films earned an average of $3.75 for every dollar he earned. Also in the list are Tom Cruise, Billy Bob Thornton, Eddie Murphy, Ice Cube, and the only woman in the group, Drew Barrymore.
