Los Angeles, CA. (AHN) - Idolized in Europe and booed on his return to the States, it seemed the American Dream was over for David Beckham and a permanent return to Europe was on the horizon.

However Beckham, 34, has moved to reassure his again adoring Galaxy fans he never considered leaving for good.

Beckham said he will come back to Los Angeles again, though he is due to return to Milan in January for a second loan spell designed to cement his place on Fabio Capello's England squad for the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa.

Beckham's previous loan spell had him miss the opening half of the MLS season.

On his return he was greeted by a chorus of boos from sections of Galaxy's home crowd and unflattering remarks in a book by teammate Landon Donovan.

The midfielder concentrated on his game and a successful second half of the campaign, culminating in Sunday's MLS Cup Final.

His success and that of the team has renewed his love affair with the Galaxy fans and vice-versa.

Beckham is hoping that he can claim his first trophy since moving to the Galaxy ahead of a return to Milan in the new year.
