Topics: TelevisionMiami, FL (CNS) - "So You Think You Can Dance" eliminated another two dancers this week, eighteen-year-old Channing Cooke and twenty-three-year-old Brooklyn native Kevin Hunte. The judges weren't impressed with their performances and they also failed to connect with audiences.

For her last performance, Cooke performed a quirky number choreographed by Tyce Diorio to Bobby McFerrin's "Blackbird," which might have been too quirky for America. "Tyce was trying to do something different and go with a different kind of music," Cooke said. "Everyone has their own opinions. I thought the song was cool and different and I think the show needs something like that. You have to throw yourself into what the choreographer asks you to do."
But as long as the dancers are voted on by viewers, "SYTYCD" remains a popularity contest. Cooke felt she didn't have enough time to shine. "I guess I would've gotten my face in the camera a little more and show more of myself. They only give you so little time to do that," she said.
Brooklyn Hip-Hop dancer Kevin Hunte performed a solo routine to "Freeze" by T-Pain and Chris Brown. Hunte was looking forward to showing off more than just his Hip-Hop side had he remained in the competition for another week.
"I really wanted to get contemporary. I wanted to let go and show that a hip hop dancer can emote and can do contemporary," said Hunte. "I was also looking forward to working with Tyce and Mandy Moore. You get excited, you get inspired and I really wanted to work with them."
Twelve dancers remain on the sixth season of "So You Think You Can Dance," which airs Tuesday and Wednesday nights on Fox.
