Long Shot Gives George Mason Win Over Indiana

Topics: Sports, College BasketballSan Juan, Puerto Rico (AHN) - Cam Long's three-pointer with six seconds remaining lifted George Mason to a 69-66 win over Indiana Sunday at the Puerto Rico Tip-Off seventh place game.

The basket gave Long a game-high 18 points, while teammate Mike Morrison chipped in with 17 points, 13 rebounds and seven blocks.
Kevin Foster and Luke Hancock combined for 17 points off the bench for the Patriots, who won despite missing 11 free throws (16 of 27).
Indiana shot a miserable 35 percent, though the Hoosiers connected on 5 of 8 three pointers.
Maurice Creek scored 15 points for the Hoosiers, and Verdell Jones III added 13 off the bench.
The Hoosiers were better at the line than GM, connecting on 21 of 28 attempts.
George Mason improved to 3-2 with the win, while Indiana fell to 2-3.
