Ottawa, Ontario (AHN) - The Liberal Party of Canada's woes continue. Aside from its poor performance in the recent federal by-elections and dismal showing at surveys, now even the wife of the party's leader is criticizing the current leadership.

Janine Krieber, wife of former Liberal Party leader Stephane Dion, did not hide her disappointment with the stewardship of current leader Michael Ignatieff. She made known her feeling in a Facebook post, which was removed shortly.

The blog-type entry in the Facebook account associated with Krieber - written in French - said the Liberal leaders should be punished for not sustaining the political coalition with Bloc Quebecois and the New Democratic Party, which have the potential to bring the present Tory-led government down.

The Liberal Party declined to comment on Krieber's Facebook post.
