Courteney Cox-Arquette Shuts Down "Cougar Town" Temporarily To Deal With Family Matter

Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Courteney Cox-Arquette has shut down "Cougar Town" temporarily. The former "Friends" star's new ABC series has been put on hold so that the star can deal with a "family matter."

The network has issued a statement to E! News, saying, the production of the show has been "temporarily shut down in order for Courteney to deal with a private family matter."
The nature of the family matter wasn't revealed.
In "Cougar Town," Cox plays Jules Cobb, a recently divorced single mother who tries to relive her lost 20s by dating younger men while living with her teenage son.
Christa Miller, Busy Philipps, Brian Van Holt, and Dan Byrd also star.
