Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Howard K. Stern has settled a defamation lawsuit he filed against Rita Cosby over the accusations she made in her book "Blonde Ambition: The Untold Story Behind Anna Nicole Smith."

According to TMZ, a dismissal of the suit was filed Friday after both parties settled their differences.

It may be recalled that Cosby accused Stern and Smith's baby daddy Larry Birkhead of having a sexual relationship that was shot on film. The book was released September 2007.

Both Stern and Smith denied the allegation, but it was only Stern who filed the $60 million libel suit against Cosby and the Hachette Book Group.

The terms of the settlement remain confidential.
