"Doctor Who" Special On BBC America December 26th

New York, NY (CNS) - The next "Doctor Who" special, "Doctor Who: The Waters of Mars" premieres Saturday December 19, 9:00pm ET/PT on BBC AMERICA. Following that on December 26th is the first final two specials on BBC America entitled "Doctor Who: The End of Time", Part One.

The premiere date for the second part of the special is yet to be announced. The journey of David Tennant as the tenth doctor is almost over and guest starring in the farewell specials include John Simm, Timothy Dalton, Catherine Tate, Lindsay Duncan and Bernard Cribbins.

There are exclusive sneak peeks for "The Waters of Mars" special now available at BBCAmerica.com/DoctorWho which "The Times" have said is "a big-budget, knock-yer-socks-off blockbuster" and the "Guardian" stating ""it's a belter, a watery nightmare - scary, moving, relevant, believable." Also on the site is a clip from "The End of Time, Part One" with never-before-seen footage.

The DVD of "The Waters of Mars and The End of Time", Part One and Part Two is set to be released on Tuesday Feb. 5th, 2010. There will also be a 5-disc set released that is a "Doctor Who: Specials Collection" that includes "The Next Doctor", "Planet of the Dead", "Waters of Mars", "The End of Time", Part One and Part Two as well as a 16 page booklet with an introduction written by the tenth Doctor himself that will be released the same day as the DVD.
