Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Singer Kelis released her new single, "Acapella," on her official website and Twitter. The track, produced by dance producer superstar David Guetta, is the lead singe from Kelis' upcoming new album, slated to be released in 2010.

"Before you, my whole life was acapella/Now a symphony's the only song to sing," sings Kelis over a thumping dance beat from Guetta, who helmed the Black Eyed Peas' international #1 "I Gotta Feelin" and is currently rising on the charts with his own "Sexy B****" featuring Akon.

Kelis has experimented with dance sounds before but is collaborating with producers like Guetta, Diplo, Switch, Boys Noize, and Free School for the new LP, her first since 2006's "Kelis Was Here." Her vocals are already storming dance floors with her collaboration with the Crookers on their new single, "No Security."

Kelis had made headlines recently for her high-profile divorce from husband Nas and the birth of their first child, Knight Jones. She was also dropped from her previous label, Jive Records, but reportedly signed to Interscope where she's set to release her new dance-fueled material.

"My album is pretty much done. I signed a new deal and I'm madly in love with life and ready to share something with you," she said in a message. "My song is called 'Acapella' and I wrote it with love and life in mind. I hope that it finds you well and that you love it, cause honestly I do!"
