It's Britney Spears Vs. Papa Roach For Fuse TV's Best Video Of 2009

Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - It's come down to the princess of pop Britney Spears and California rockers Papa Roach during Fuse TV's Best Video of 2009 contest, which determines the channel's year-end countdown show of the top 40 videos as voted by viewers.

Spears is currently way ahead in the lead with her video "Circus," with over 1.3 million more votes than Papa Roach, who currently have over 340,000 votes for their video "Lifeline." Meanwhile, Papa Roach has taken to their Twitter, official website, and fan forums to encourage their fans to vote, including some choice words about Ms. Spears as well.

"Yall killed it thx it means he world to us!!!!!" The band wrote on their Twitter. "Now we need to band together with other rock fans to beat the Hollywood w**** ms.spears." The band has a song titled "Hollywood W****" on their latest album, "Metamorphosis."

To land in the final 2 with Britney, Papa Roach beat out bands like Paramore, Shinedown, Daughtry, and Metallica. Spears had to beat the likes of Eminem, Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas, and 3OH!3 to come out near the top.

The voting ends before Fuse TV's "Top 40 of 2009" video countdown airs on Saturday, December 12th at 4pm ET.
