Addison, IL (AHN) - Chicago area police are investigating the deaths of four people in what authorities say seems like an apparent murder-suicide. The victims include two adults and two children.

The bodies of an adult male, adult female and two boys approximately 12 and 8 years of age were discovered shot to death early Wednesday morning. Officers reported to the scene just about 6:30 after receiving a 911 call. Published reports say a female from inside the home called 911 and shots could be heard in the background.

Addison Police aren't releasing many detail but did say a preliminary investigation indicates the incident wasn't a random act of violence, but rather an isolated incident at this location. Investigators say it appears that no one outside the home was involved and neighbors shouldn't be concerned.

Autopsies done by the DuPage County Coroner are scheduled for Thursday.
