Denver, CO (AHN) - The Buffalo Bills met with former Denver Broncos coach Mike Shanahan for about seven hours total Monday and Tuesday, and afterwards, seemed to have no shortage of good things to say about each other.

"We had an excellent meeting," Shanahan told reporters on Wednesday. "I was really impressed with Russ Brandon and everything he had to say. We're going to stay in touch and see what develops."

Russ Brandon, Bills chief operating officer, flew out to Denver to meet with Shanahan, out of football since last season when he parted ways with the Broncos.

Brandon made several pitches as to why Shanahan would be a good fit with the Bills, but neither side has settled on each other.

Shanahan and the Bills seem intent to explore all options.

Shanahan claimed two Super Bowl titles with the Broncos and has been in the NFL coaching since 1984. He landed his first head coaching gig in 1995.

The Bills are also looking into experienced coaches such as Bill Cowher and Mike Holmgren.
