Robbie Williams "Proposed" To Girlfriend On Live Radio Show

Sydney, Australia (CNS) - Robbie Williams has proposed to his girlfriend on an Australian radio show, but his rep says the pair are "definitely not engaged." The "Bodies" singer was said to be only joking when he popped the question to Ayda Field.

Williams stunned listeners of "The Kyle and Jackie O Show" when he went along with host Jackie Henderson and proposed to Field.

Henderson said, "Sydney has a bit of reputation for proposals with celebrities, is there any news you want to share?"

He turned to long-time girlfriend Field, asking, "Will you marry me?"

Field replied with "Yes, I'll marry you. Where's the ring?"

Robbie then borrowed Henderson's froggy ring and slipped it on Field's ring finger, saying, "I love you so much. Would you be my betrothed till the end of time?"

Fans called the show to congratulate them for the remainder of the show. But when one caller asked Williams to reveal the last lie he had told, he replied, "I told one this morning."

His spokesman later told the media that although the singer proposed, it was done in a "very jocular way," adding the pair are "definitely not engaged."
