Topics: NBAPhiladelphia, PA (AHN) - Sixers point guard Lou Williams will miss two months with a broken jaw. He had surgery Thursday morning to have his jaw wired shut.

Williams was injured Tuesday in the Sixers loss to the Washington Wizards.
He collided with Washington's Antawn Jamison.
"I was spitting out blood every time-out, but I thought it was my tooth, so I didn't think it was as serious as it was," said Williams.
Williams is averaging 17.4 points and 5.1 assists per game. He scored 26 points in 39 minutes of play Tuesday night.
"I just continued to play, and there wasn't a lot of pain involved because I was playing on adrenaline, obviously. But I knew something was wrong, just not to this magnitude."
An X-ray revealed the fracture.
Williams wanted some pain medicine, but the team's medical staff made him go through some tests.
"But you go through the protocol, the X-rays, and this and that. And it came back, and there was a big line in my jaw, and that set the alarms off right there."
Williams didn't play Wednesday night in Boston. Rookie guard Jrue Holiday started in his place.
He'll meet with a nutritionist in the near future to set up a liquid diet where he can maintain his weight.
The Sixers return home tonight to host the Eastern Conference-leading Atlanta Hawks.
Philadelphia has lost four straight games.
