Dade City, FL (AHN) - Robert Sanders McCray had a stinky day Thursday.

McCray, 37, walked out of a CVS drug store in this Tampa suburb without paying for 19 packages of deodorant, according to police. When store employees followed him outside and confronted him, he put down four of the packages and tried to leave. Store workers restrained McCray, who fought one of them, until police arrived.

The deodorant was worth $84, and police said McCray told them he needed the merchandise to pay off an $80 debt to his drug dealer.

McCray was charged with retail theft, resisting a merchant, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cocaine.

He was jailed in lieu of $5,450 in bond. And he probably still owns his dealer 80 bucks.
