Storrs, CT (AHN) - Defeating the UConn women's basketball team is like the prospect of messing up coach Geno Auriemma's hair: It will happen, just not often.

It did not occur Friday night, as the legendary basketball coach coasted to his 700th win in the Huskies 91-46 romp of Hofstra at the WBCA Classic in Storrs.

Maya Moore led the way with 23 points for UConn, while Tina Charles added 17.

It marked the 43rd straight win for the Huskies, who improved to 4-0 this season.

Players even tried to muss up the coach's famous 'do after the win, but had little success in that department.

They did manage to print up t-shirts to celebrate the monumental win, however.

Hofstra trailed 43-23 at the break, and was outscored by 25 in the second half to fall to 3-1.

The Pride struggled all the way around, committing 32 turnovers while hitting just 17 of 51 shots (33 percent).

Hofstra did not have a single player reach double-figure scoring.
